Terms for quote recipients

These terms apply to people who receive a quote through Ruum in order to view, accept, request changes to or reject it (hereinafter, "recipient"), when they access it via a shared link and, where applicable, a verification code (OTP). If you are a professional user with a Ruum account, the Terms and Conditions of Use also apply to you.

1. What Ruum is and its role
Ruum is a tool used by the professional or company that sent you the quote (hereinafter, "the Professional") to prepare and share it. Ruum is an intermediary platform: it is not a party to the construction contract or the quote, it does not provide the construction or renovation services, and it does not take part in the negotiation, performance, collection or fulfilment of the quote. The contractual relationship regarding the work is exclusively between you and the Professional.
2. Access to the quote
Access to the quote is provided via a link supplied to you by the Professional. The link may have limited validity or be revoked by the Professional. The view offered to you is generally read-only.
3. Verification by code (OTP)
For certain actions (for example, accepting or rejecting a quote), Ruum may ask you for a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email or phone, in order to verify your identity and record the action. The code has limited validity and is stored encrypted (hashed). Do not share your code with third parties.
4. Acceptance, change requests and rejection
The actions you take on the quote (accepting, requesting changes or rejecting) are recorded with their date and, where applicable, with the verification performed. Acceptance through Ruum reflects your agreement to the quote vis-à-vis the Professional, on the terms you agree. Ruum does not guarantee or endorse the content, the amounts or the fulfilment of the quote, which are the responsibility of the Professional.
5. Relationship with the professional who issues the quote
Any question about the content of the quote, the prices, the deadlines, the performance of the work, the guarantees or the invoices must be addressed to the Professional, who is your sole counterparty. Ruum is not responsible for such matters.
6. Processing of your data
When you receive and manage a quote, the controller of your data is the Professional who sends it to you. Ruum processes that data as processor, on behalf of the Professional and following their instructions. For more information about how data is processed on the platform, see the Privacy Policy. To exercise your rights over your data, contact the Professional; if you write to us at privacy@ruum.es, we will forward your request.
7. If you are a consumer
If you act as a consumer (outside a professional activity), you retain all the rights granted to you by consumer protection regulations. Nothing in these terms limits those rights or imposes on you jurisdictions or clauses that are not applicable to you as a consumer.
